10 fun facts
I love my Peloton, OrangeTheory Fitness, running 5ks and yoga. I’m always rallying for co-workers and team members to join me on lunchtime walks, group rides and more!
It’s a good thing I like to stay fit because my second great love is food. I love equally a trip to Taco Bell and a charcuterie board with aged Gouda. I do not discriminate.
I get eight hours of sleep almost without fail. I think it’s a crucial piece of staying happy and healthy.
I was awesome at standardized tests as a kid. I typically scored in the top 2-3% of students nationwide and as such was offered the opportunity to take the SATs when I was 12 as well as attend a program at Georgeschool for Gifted & Talented kids that my family affectionately called “nerd camp.”
I’m from an incredibly close-knit family that I love endlessly and spend as much time with as possible.
I’ve been riding snowmobiles and quads since before I could walk. I like to race and I love to win.
I have a book addiction that started when I was young. I lugged these books in boxes to college and then every apartment I lived in through my 20s. I buy books I read. I buy books I do not read. I buy children’s books even though I have teenagers. My favorite recommendations come from my son in high school!
I love, love, love being a mom of twins. Especially the questions from strangers. “Are they twins?” (No, I stole one of them.) “Are they identical?” (Yes, and please don’t argue with me about this.) “Do twins run in your family?” (Also yes, but this does not stop that ultrasound news from being shocking.)
My oldest daughter has taken on my passion for activism. She and I have rallied together for women’s rights, neurodiversity, Black Lives Matter and much more. Seeing her speak to thousands of people is one of my life’s greatest moments.
My happy place is driving my Jeep with the top removed, cruising down a back road in Michigan where I grew up, my husband by my side, music up loud and preferably on our way to the lake.
